Camping Boom
The 2025 figures from the camping sector represent a 50% increase compared to 2019, before the data was affected by the pandemic restrictions. In 2025, Luxembourg's campsites registered close to 1.3 million overnight stays, nearly 30% more than in 2019, with 333'000 camping tourists visiting the Grand Duchy.
Tourism minister Lex Delles said this reinforced the attractiveness of Luxembourg's camping areas, which are no longer a niche sector, but a driving force behind the country's tourism. Delles made the comments during a visit to the CARAVAN trade fair in Dusseldorf, which draws around 260'000 visitors a year. The Grand Duchy was represented by a stand at the fair, exhibiting the country's tourist attractions and activities on offer, such as hiking, cycling, camping and caravanning.
