Sixty-One
Police in Wormeldange were carrying out speed checks on Sunday afternoon when they spotted a man travelling on an e-scooter at a staggering 61km/h on a cycle path. When officers tried to stop him, the man attempted to make a getaway. He tried to manoeuvre around a police van, but this led to a collision, leaving him with minor injuries. Despite the collision, he continued to flee but did not get far. Shortly afterwards, police found him near a chapel in the area. The man was taken to hospital for a medical check-up, where a drug test returned positive. He received a fine, and his e-scooter was confiscated.[1]
