ENFAST

On Thursday evening, the Luxembourg Judicial Police's Fugitive Search Unit, working closely with the Special Unit, located and arrested an internationally wanted man. An international arrest warrant issued by Montenegrin authorities was in effect for a Montenegrin national, wanted for the illegal production, possession, and sale of narcotics.[1]

The location and arrest of the suspect were carried out as part of cross-border cooperation within the European Network of Fugitive Active Search Teams (ENFAST), of which Luxembourg and Montenegro are both members.[1]

A man from Montenegro, wanted by Montenegro, arrested in Luxembourg, by a unit that searches for people who run. ENFAST is a network. Luxembourg is in it. Montenegro is in it. The man was in Luxembourg. The warrant was from Montenegro. The network connected the two. Earlier this month, joint police and customs drug checks at Mertert port found no irregularities. The same month, two suspects were arrested in Luxembourg for a triple murder in South Africa, and a third homejacking suspect was extradited from Thailand. Luxembourg is small. The crimes that reach it are not always Luxembourgish. But the arrests are. The networks are.[1]
